NFL Draft 2010 First Round Winners

Jerry Jones, the man who signs the checks around Valley Ranch, had said the wide receiver spot wasn't a need for the Dallas Cowboys.

But on Thursday night, the first of the extended three-day NFL draft, Jones made a bold decision, moving up to take Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant.

The Cowboys could have waited with the No. 27 pick and taken a cornerback such as Boise State's Kyle Wilson, or Penn State defensive end Jared Odrick. Indiana tackle Rodger Saffold was also hanging around. How about Sean Lee, the middle linebacker, from Penn State?

Jones and his coaches, scouts and front office personnel rated three players they had to have -- Texas safety Earl Thomas, Idaho guard Mike Iupati and Bryant.

"I think Devin's ability to help the team on four downs, it's hard for me to picture a player who can do more than that. There aren't many players who can really impact the game on first, second, third and fourth downs. I think he can be a player that can contribute in all four of those areas, and I think that gives him a lot of versatility and a lot of value."

At the end of the slide show, on the last page you'll also find a list of my 10 best available as the second round gets under way tomorrow night. Also stay tuned to my page all day tomorrow for updates as trades are announced throughout the day.

The Scientists compare pizza and burgers with cigarettes and heroin

A study showed bingeing on junk food triggers addiction centres in the brain, making us crave more and more high calorie foods.

He says: "Our brains are hijacked by fat, sugar and salt. They affect the same circuits in the brain as drugs.

"Countless Brits struggle to control their eating and no one has revealed why it's so hard."

The Food and Drink Federation argue that in Britain the food is healthier.

FRIED CHICKEN: Fat is layered and loaded on to the meat. And that famous coating takes us to the Bliss Point through a combination of salt, sugar, corn syrup and flavourings.

BURGERS: In its stripped down form the burger is explosively rich in fat, sugar and salt.

And extra of everything is not making us a favor - bacon, cheese, another burger, sugar, salt, everything is blissing out our brain cells.

CHOCOLATE, SWEETS and CAKES: The high fat/high sugar killer combination activates pleasure circuits. We associate these foods with an instant hit - a reward. And once we start eating them we can't stop.

PIZZA: Fat - layer after layer after layer. From the base to the crunchy cheese top.

ICE CREAM: In its simplest form it provides a massive payload of fat and sugar.

But top with chocolate pieces or biscuits and the combo becomes fat and sugar layered with more fat and sugar.

Many people rely on them as a pick-me-up. They look at a portion of fries and think "that's my friend - that's going to make me feel better."
